The European Local Development Network Association (LDnet) in collaboration with the CS4Change project, is happy to be co-hosting a webinar titled ‘Local communities and using citizen science in risk management’ in early November this year.
The webinar will share recent and ongoing studies that combine Citizen Science (CS) and environmental risk management. We will also discuss opportunities for local and regional communities — in our cities, towns and on the countryside — to build resilience where we will be open to hearing your ideas on the topic.
Speaking at the webinar, our expert guests will be:
-
Flavio Stimili, urban planning researcher at University of Camerino
-
Anna Berti Suman, Marie-Curie post-doctoral fellow, focused on civic monitoring as evidence in environmental litigation and as a tool for mediation
-
Monika Suškevičs, principal investigator for CS4Change, a citizen science research and analysis project funded by the Estonian Research Council (ETAG)
The webinar will be hosted by our own LDnet member and researcher with CS4Change, Joanna Storie
We warmly invite local development practitioners from Europe and beyond; academics interested in community-led local development; and, most of all, fellow citizens curious about getting involved in, or just knowing about, planning and caring for healthy and safe neighbourhoods, towns, and cities.
