The ELARD General Assembly was held online on 3 February 2021 and included an introductory presentation by Iwona Lizstwan, EC DG AGRI.
Stefan Kah was an invited speaker. His presentation “Cohesion Policy in Rural Areas and the role of CLLD” illustrated the main messages of a 2020 study on Cohesion Policy in “non-urban”, i.e. rural areas. It showed that ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund investments are targeting mostly urban rather than rural areas and that a large part of the rural funding relates to infrastructure, especially transport. In the second part, the presentation gave a summary of the main findings of LDnet’s recent research on CLLD, highlighting particularly the role of various ESI Funds in different European countries.
Stefan’s presentation is available HERE and below.
