Stefan Kah is a Research and Knowledge Exchange Fellow at the European Policies Research Centre (EPRC) in Glasgow (Scotland) and Delft (Netherlands), as well as Capacity Building Advisor for Integrated Sustainable Territorial Development at UNOPS Serbia. His area of specialisation is the governance and implementation of regional and rural development policy, with a focus on the territorial dimension of EU Cohesion Policy and LEADER/CLLD. Over the last few years, he was involved in a stock-taking exercise on the use of multi-funded Community-led Local Development (CLLD) and carried out research looking at the interface between EU Cohesion Policy and rural development policies. One of his recent publications looked at the role of Cohesion Policy for rural areas, carried out for the European Parliament’s REGI Committee. Stefan is also working in a Horizon 2020 project on the bioeconomy in rural areas of Bulgaria, Latvia, North Macedonia, Poland and Romania, supporting rural stakeholders in developing strategies and roadmaps (BE-Rural).
