The General Assembly of the LEDA-Partenariat Association (LDnet) will take place online on Monday 19 February from 16:00 to 17:30 CET. It will offer an opportunity to discuss broader issues on local development and the priorities of LDnet for 2024.
In the last year, LDnet has been actively involved in capacity building and community resilience initiatives, and we have closely followed initiatives on social innovation and sustainable local development. On all these topics, participative approaches and types of governance remain a crucial cross-cutting issue.
The first part of the meeting will be devoted to a thematic discussion on these and other related topics. An interactive session is envisaged, moderated by Urszula Budzich-Tabor, to explore the key challenges facing local development and different roles that LDnet can play in addressing them. A panel of LDnet experts including Peter Ramsden and Maria Joao Filgueiras Rauch (further speakers TBC) will be complemented by researchers and local actors representing rural and urban communities.
The second part of the meeting will deal with mainstream annual assembly issues, including the annual report of the association and future priorities.
The draft agenda of the meeting is, as follows:
16:00 Opening and welcome
16:10 Thematic debate – What next for local development: What transformations do we want to see? What should LDnet’s contribution be?
- Panel discussion and questions or statements from the audience
16:55 Annual and financial reports
17:05 Future priorities, financial and statute related issues
17.20 Election of officers
17:30 Any other business
Participation in this online event is open to all LDnet members, friends and contributors.
