The General Assembly of the LEDA-Partenariat Association (LDnet) took place online on Monday 19 February 2024. It offered an opportunity to 35 participants, members and friends of LDnet, to discuss broader issues on local development and the priorities of LDnet for 2024.
In the last year, LDnet has been actively involved in capacity building and community resilience initiatives, and we have closely followed initiatives on social innovation and sustainable local development. On all these topics, participative approaches and types of governance remain a crucial cross-cutting issue.
The first part of the meeting was devoted to a thematic discussion on these and other topics. An interactive session was moderated by Urszula Budzich-Tabor and explored the key challenges facing local development and different roles that LDnet can play in addressing them. A panel of LDnet experts – Peter Ramsden, Maria Joao Filgueiras Rauch, Joanna Storie – opened the debate. Contributions from local development practitioners representing rural and urban communities – Isa Tuuri (FI), Radim Srsen (CZ), Gonçalo Folgado (PT) – followed. Several other contributions from researchers and local actors – live and via the chat – completed the debate.
The second part of the meeting dealt with mainstream annual assembly issues, including the annual report, future priorities and election of a new board of the of the association.
The agenda of the meeting was, as follows:
