The supranational nature of the EU’s urban policy makes it a unique framework that provides a wealth of experience and knowledge regarding how to act in the urban realm to foster social and territorial cohesion.
Given the growing recognition of cities as crucial actors to make the ecological and green transition envisaged by the EU’s Green Deal, this is a field of public policy that needs to gain relevance and tranformative capacity in the years to come.
However, the European Commission’s proposal for the post-2027 EU budget and the priorities it has presented introduce a high degree of uncertainty as to how this policy will evolve that is leading to a lively debate among stakeholders.
This online seminar, titled “The post-2027 urban policy of the European Union: What regenerative action to achieve the EGD objectives?”, aims to focus on this crucial conversation in order to advance it and generate a forum for the exchange of opinions and knowledge.
The event is organised by the Research Network on Cohesion Policy (CPnet), formerly known as the RSA CPnet, in collaboration with the Jean Monnet RegenEU.
