Katalin Kolosy, a linguist and land economist, joined AEIDL in 1990 as a networking officer for the ELISE, LEADER I and LEADER II Community Initiatives. She was specifically responsible for providing local actors with information and services to facilitate their search for European partners, organising thematic seminars, and providing assistance in setting up projects, etc.
In 2000, she moved to France, where she was in charge of European affairs for a local economic development agency.
She returned to AEIDL in April 2006 as head of projects in charge of the Linking Local Actors Project as well as thematic technical assistance under EQUAL ‘Inclusive entrepreneurship’ for DG Employment of the European Commission. She also frequently participates in studies and evaluations.
In 2004, Katalin completed a PhD thesis on local governance. She speaks French, English, Italian and understands Spanish and German.
