Currently conducting a PhD in City, Territory and Sustainable Planning (Department of Human Geography) at the University of Granada. Holds a BS in International Relations and an MA in Eurasian Studies from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Türkiye. Primarily focuses on rural development, particularly LEADER/CLLD in the Southern and Eastern European context, policy evaluation, impact assessment, as well as agroecology along with short food supply chains. Passionate about bridging academic insights with real-world impact. Has more than 5 years of experience in project design, monitoring and evaluation, and safeguarding with UNDP, UNICEF, and World Bank socio-economic development and migration projects. Has boosted intercultural competencies through academic exchange experiences in Canada (St. Thomas University, University of New Brunswick) and Germany (Universität Hamburg), and through volunteering in agroecology farms. Complementary interests include permaculture design and advocacy in cycling.
