Our sincere thanks to all those who responded to our appeal to support LDnet to keep connecting and informing people working in local development. If you would like to make a financial contribution you can still do so below.
LDnet is a non profit association committed to spreading the word that community led local development is the real deal. Local development is the best way to pursue sustainable development and without engagement all other forms of development are for the birds. We are the only non institutionally funded network that links rural, coastal and urban areas and attempts to spread innovations and learning about how things can be done better by engaging with communities. We are unique in bringing together practitioners, researchers and policy thinkers across Europe and beyond.
That’s why we need YOUR support. As an independent non-aligned NGO we can only continue if we have some modest resources. We are very frugal, but each year we have to pay for web hosting, for some conference fees and for a limited amount of travel. We are therefore appealing to our user-community to support us with small donations through the HelloAsso portal. You can give as little as 10 Euros or as much as you want. You can make a one off donation or you can donate every month. Note that HelloAsso is itself an NGO and they automatically add a donation for their website. This is strictly optional and you can decide to include their percentage in your gift to LDnet or you can opt out. This is up to you.
If we can raise €1000 each year we can guarantee our future. If we can raise more we can increase the scale and scope of our operations and really start to influence policy makers across Europe to do more for local development.
We will be making an annual appeal. Help us to make this first one a success!
